Confirmations

Many salons call or send text messages to clients prior to appointments taking place, to reminding clients of their appointments in the hope of reducing the amount of no shows at the salon.

SoftBooking has a confirmation facility, where batches of these reminders can be completed at one time and logged to the system.

To use the confirmation facility, press the button titled confirmation on the toolbar; this will open a pop up screen displaying all the appointments for the day the booking screen is on:

You can then either call each person and confirm the appointment with them, ticking the box titled confirmed as you confirm the appointment or you can press the button titled Send Text Reminder which will send a text message to each of the people on the list, the box confirmed will automatically now be ticked next to the appropriate client.

Please note, the reminder message which will be sent to each client must first be defined in the options area of the system under the option screen SMS text messaging. See the options section of this manual for further explanations.
