Contraindications

| Sub tab three within the treatment card information tab is the contraindications tab; this is basically a list of all the medical conditions and medicines being taken by the client, which may cause possible conflicts with selected products and treatments sold within the salon. SoftBooking comes loaded with a list of 29 pre-defined medical conditions but all or some of these can be removed and new ones added (To find out how to customise the contraindications list please see the options section of this help document).

| To log that a client has a particular medical condition, you must tick the box alongside the condition, there is also the facility to store any notes in relation to the condition, next to the tick box, to store a single line of notes just type on the line, to store more detailed notes press the button at the end of the line titled '…' upon which a multi-line box will appear.

| The contraindications list is replicated on both the treatment cards and product cards on the system, therefore meaning if a client has a particular medical condition and/or is taking medicine and a treatment/product could cause a potential contraindication a warning will be given to the system user either at the booking stage (treatments) or the payment stage (products), preventing dangerous mistakes.
