Navigating throughout the system can be done by clicking on the relevant button on the toolbar.

The SoftBooking system has been laid out in the same format throughout:  
 
The top of the screen is the file, edit, view bar, this offers shortcuts to some basic system tasks.  
 
Below this is the toolbar, which is used to flick between different screens on the system. To move between screens you simply have to single click on the appropriate screen button.  
 
Each screen also has a Sidebar, which contains the main functions available.  
 
The final and largest part of the screen is the main data screen; this is where all the data from the corresponding button pressed on the toolbar is displayed.

Login Button
The login/logout button simply allows users to access the system, every time a user leaves the workstation they should logout the system to prevent any abuse of the system and to make computer use accountable.
 
 
Walkin Button
The walkin screen is where all payments are completed, both walk in retail and paying for bookings. Gift vouchers are also purchased and redeemed from this screen and refunds should also be completed on this screen.
 
 
Booking Button
The booking screen is, as the name suggests, where all bookings should be made and viewed from. The booking screen is the defaulted screen and is where most the salons daily tasks will be stored.
 
 
Client Button
The client screen is the area where all client cards are stored this should be used to maintain and find customer information.
 
 
Product Button
The product screen is the area where all products sold by the salon are stored. It can be used to view and maintain products, this is the place where 'stock-takes' can be entered and product information is stored.
 
 
Treatment Button
Like the product screen, the treatment screen is where all the treatments offered by the salon are stored. In this screen you can view and amend the treatments and all their details.
 
 
Staff Button
The staff screen is where all the staff who work at the salons details are stored, this is where the booking screens data is gathered from, this should be treated as a complete staff file, where all staff details can easily be retrieved and amended. It is essential that your staff timetable, holidays, sickness and skills are kept accurate as this is the data used on the booking screen.
 
 
Suppliers Button
The supplier screen is a very basic screen, which simply holds details about your supplier and the way you make your orders.
 
 
Ordering Button
The ordering screen is where all the salons purchase orders are stored and can be created and updated. If all your stock levels, and trigger levels are accurate, the system can automatically generate ordering suggestions. This is the area where all deliveries should be booked in.
 
 
Reports Button
The reports section of the system is where all the data used throughout can be viewed and manipulated. This is where all printouts can be obtained from.
 
 
Options Button
Options screen is the area of the system where you can set up certain system wide functions, for example contraindications lists can be customised, client cards data customised, rooms can be set up on the system and commission, booking cancellation and no show fee structures set up and system printing options controlled.
 
 
EOD Button
The end of day button allows the cash count at the end of the day to be entered in the system, this will show any discrepancies and will allow critical end of day reports to be shown and printed.
