Automated updates

The SoftBooking system is constantly being update and comes with an automated updating facility over the internet.

If there is a newer version of SoftBooking available than the version you are running you will be alerted when you start up SoftBooking; a pop up box will appear on your screen stating a newer version of SoftBooking is available and asking if you want to download it; to download the newer version click yes (recommended) if you don't want to update click no.

Once you have clicked the yes button, the update will start downloading and the screen will shrink down out of view, until it has been fully downloaded.

Once the update has been downloaded another box will appear asking if you would like to run the update. If it is a convenient time to run the update, close SoftBooking and press yes, alternatively press no and run the update at a more convenient time; the downloaded update file is saved to your desktop and can be run by double clicking on the update icon on the desktop.

Please remember an update takes a minute or so to complete and requires SoftBooking to be closed while the system is updated.

Checking for update

You can also check if there is a newer version of SoftBooking available while you are running SoftBooking, to do this click on the help menu on the very top toolbar, and click on the menu check for updates.
