Customising Contraindications

The purpose of the contraindications tab is first to highlight any medical conditions which a client may have and second to allow the system to check potential contraindications between a selected treatment/product and a client. Therefore each client, product and treatment card comes with an identical contraindications list attached. This allows the system to identify any potential contraindication and either give the user a warning or it can even block the sale altogether.

Setting up

The contraindications screen show a list of all the current contraindications used on the system, with a tick box titled use.

If the tick box is ticked the corresponding contraindication will be used throughout the system, if it is un-ticked it will not.

If you wish to add a new contraindication press the button at the bottom of the list labelled Add New.

Once you are happy with the contraindications list click the ok button to close the list and close the options screen, the contraindications list on the clients, treatment and product file will now show your customised contraindications.

Using contraindications

The client, product and treatment files all have a tab titled Contraindications. On the client file you can tick which medical conditions your client has and write any details in the adjacent box.

On the product and treatment file you can also tick any possible contraindications that users should be aware of; you can also type in any details about the possible contraindications. The third box allows you to define what action you wish the system to take if a client could have a possible contraindication. For products this is just give a warning, while treatments also allow the booking to be prevented.

Contraindication flag

If the system finds a possible contraindication issue it will show a box highlighting the clients and product/treatment contraindication either at the booking stage or payment stage, if the system is set to just give a warning the user can just press the continue button and carry on as usual, if the system is set to stop booking it will prevent the booking being made for the selected client.
