Minute based products are slightly different to other products sold in the salon as they are products which are redeemed against treatments, so if for example your salons sells minutes for a tanning machine, in quantities of 1 minute, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 120 minutes, this is where they would be set up.

When creating a minute based product a corresponding treatment will also be set up, to create the link. If you are setting up a minute based product you will not be required to enter a supplier, cost price or discount, you will also not be able to access the Stock and Cost tab. The Contraindications and Cross Selling tabs will be identical to a standard product, while you will have to fill in the Minute Based tab for the products to work.

Minute Based

The minute based tab consists of a table split into three column: Description; Minutes and Price. In this tab you should define all the different versions of the product you sell, so for example, you may sell one minute on the sun-bed for £1.20, 10 Minutes for £11.00, 30 minutes for £30.00, 60 Minutes for £54.00 and 120 Minutes for £84.00, each one of these options would have its own line on the Minute Based table.
