| Every product within the salon should have an individual product card created for it, this includes products which are not sold but are used within the salon (professional products). The SoftBooking system allows three broad types of products to be setup: the first is a standard retail product which is sold by the salon; the second professional products held within the salon (please note professional and retail products can be logged on the same card if they are both used within the salon and sold retail); and finally minute based products; minute based products are products which are sold in a batch and then redeemed against treatments, the most common example is tanning/sun-bed minutes where the product sold is a minute based credit card, such as 60 minutes tanning/sun-bed time, which is then later redeemed in smaller parts against a treatment (tanning/sun-bed).
