Update 1.1.8

Released: 28 March 2007

Automated booking 'cancellation charges' and ‘no show’ charges – these can be set to fit your salons policy.
The addition of minute based products – for example if you sell ‘tanning minutes’ on a prepay credit style system, and then work these prepaid minutes down. They can be purchased and redeemed on the payment (walk-in) and booking screen, and viewed and managed on each client card.
Multi Price/Length - variations for both duration and sale price for the same treatments, typically used in hair salons. This allows, for example: one therapist to take 30 minutes and another 45 minutes on the same treatment; and/or a charge of £15.00 to be made for one therapist and £20.00 for a different therapist.
Voucher reallocation and more accurate end of day voucher details.
bullet Rooms – client have informed us that the rooms function was too rigid, appointments couldn’t be booked in on the system when in reality they could be squeezed in, therefore room allocation now simply gives an override-able warning instead of completely blocking the appointment.
Cross-selling/up-selling/related products, this allows staff to view other products and treatments, which may be of interest to a client buying any particular product or treatment.
Add additional un-booked treatments at payment stage. For example if a client has a booked leg wax and during the treatment asks for a quick eyebrow shape, this can be added at the payment stage without the need to add the treatment on the booking screen.
View clients’ previous sales (all, products, treatments and vouchers) from payment screen (walk-in screen).
View and amend client cards from payment screen (walk-in screen).
bullet Vastly improved contraindications functions – this is now both more comprehensive and entirely customisable: possible contraindications can now flag up potential issues at the booking and payment stage and are linked to treatments and products.
Products, treatments and clients can now also be deactivated (archived). For example if a client moves or doesn’t return to the salon, but has a history, they can be moved to an inactive list. Or if you discontinue a product this can also be moved from your current stock list.
Machine cards (previously laser machine cards) can now be added & removed.
Imaging tab (formally body mapping tab) now allows custom mapping images to be added to client files, completed body mapping images can now be archived and photos added to client files.
bullet Improved stock control – allowing quick and simple recording of stock delivered to your salon.
Booking information, when a booking is paid you can view all the information about the booking, the client, the treatment and any charges that were applied.
Automatic Updates - if the user is on the internet, when loading up SoftBooking a program looks on our FTP site and if a new update is available, it asks the user if they wish to download and run the update. Look in - Help, Check for Updates.
bullet All of the literature including the manual has been completely re-written to encompass all of the new features listed above.
Internet backup - Backup utility has two tabs – 1 Local Devices and 2 Internet. If the Internet tab is chosen, a subscribe is required with a minimal cost for the usage of our FTP site/space. This can be deemed as very useful for not much money for the ability to have an 'off site backup'.
