Reward System - The reward system is a points based system where points are collected by the clients and can be redeemed within the salon as and when the client accrues enough. The salon manager has complete control over the amount of points rewarded, what points are rewarded for, the value of the collected points and of course what the collected points can be redeemed against. |
New payment screen - The additional options now available on the system have meant that a new Walk-in (payment) screen has had to be developed to accommodate the extra details required. The new payment screen is only enabled when you enable rewards on your system. |
Client Referrals - If you have ever wanted to log who referred a particular client to your salon, then this new function is for you. Each client card now has a box titled ‘Referred by:’ in this box you can enter an existing clients name, search for them and attach them to the client file. This can also link to the reward system, meaning existing clients who refer new clients can receive reward points for their effort. |
Management Button - One of the more obvious additions to your system will be the appearance of a new management button on the main toolbar. This function is only available to managers, if a normal user logs on this button will say tasks instead and will only give the options of ‘SoftBooking mail’. This function gives you access to new management function on the system. We have also moved some reports and grids into this section, to make their location more logical. The management function contains the following options:
- Auditing – Click on this option to view every change made to the system;
- Commission – Modify commission by staff is now here;
- SoftBooking Mail – Internal communication system;
- Vouchers – Amendable vouchers table.
Auditing - The Auditing area; shows all changes made to the system, this means if an appointment has changed or if a clients phone number has been added you can find out who did it, what time and what details they changed, you can even see the details pre amendment. |
SoftMail - The SoftMail area; allows users to email each other within SoftBooking. This is a purely internal communications system, that is to say, emails can only be picked up within SoftBooking and messages can only be sent between SoftBooking users. This feature is designed to allow staff and managers to communicate between each other even when not in the salon at the same time. |
New payment methods introduced - Some existing SoftBooking clients already take payment via BACS (Banks Automated Clearing System), SoftBooking will now allow these payments to be accurately added and reference numbers recorder to the system. This payment option is only available when using the new ‘Walkin’ (payment) screen. |
New report section - SoftBookings current reporting system has been becoming a little unwieldy as new reports are added. The decision therefore was made to change the reporting system before new reports and graphs were added (these new reports and graphics will appear in future releases). |
Category for Clients - By categorising the clients, it allows the user to separate the clients in groups. Each category has a special discount attached so anyone in that group gets that discount. For example; you may want to add the staff as clients ad have a category 'Staff Member', as well as maybe a 'Family Staff Member' group which has the family member discount. |
Multi-Payment - When proceeding to pay multiple bookings, a list will appear containing all available people who could potentially pay for the invoice. At the top of that list is 'Add New Client' therefore if you added a client, that client would be the payee. |
Greater client card customisability - Previous versions of SoftBooking allowed salons to change what information was stored about each client on the client card. This is accessible in the ‘options’ section of the system, under the menu ‘client card settings’. Previously you could remove the following tabs:
- Machine Card;
- Treatment plan;
- Image sets;
You could also change contraindications from this area, that is to say, remove default contraindications from the list and create new contraindications specific to your salon.
In addition to the above you can now also remove the following tabs from the client’s card:
- Tanning card;
- Treatment card;
- Contraindications;
Changed all '...' search buttons to have an image of a magnifying glass. |
Mail merge from any grid with a client attached - We often hear the comment “it be nice to send a letter to everyone who has purchased a particular product”, this particular mail merge would not be possible using the current system, as mail merges are restricted to the client area of the system. Update 2.0.3 will address this issue, allowing any grid which contains a client name to have a mail merge run against it. |

Increased booking flexibility - One of the major drawbacks of using the SoftBooking system for making multiple booking (using the ‘Add Another Treatment’ button) in the past has been the fact you could only make multiple bookings for a single member of staff. We have now improved this, meaning when the ‘Add Another Treatment’ button is pressed the user will be given the opportunity to change the staff member.
