Our Principles
Behind the
development of SoftBooking lie a few key principles which have always
been the backbone to the system and service.
Usability
First and foremost we believe any system
designed for a small or medium size salon needs to be intuitively easy
to use.
One of the major objections to using a
computer system in salons is; will the manager and staff actually be
able to use the system, particularly if they are computer novices. If
the answer to this question is no, then there is no point in them having
the system, so with SoftBooking we have tried to keep it simple. All
screens and functions follow the same format and help is provided
throughout the system. We also incorporate many standard tools and
functions in line with other software applications for instant
familiarity.
Cost
Much of the salon management software
currently available on the market is prohibitively expensive for the
smaller salons. In addition to the already high cost of just purchasing
the software our research also indicated over inflated hardware, support
and training costs associated with current salon IT solutions.
SoftBooking therefore is aimed at a price
which is affordable to salons, further to this though our support and
training are also priced at a level that reduces the ongoing cost of
software ownership and allows salon owners, managers and staff to
receive high quality and enough training to get the absolute most out of
their software investment.
In terms of hardware, unlike many of our
competitors we do not insist on hardware being purchased from us. Having
said this though many clients wish to purchase there whole IT solution
from a single supplier and we are therefore happy to provide any
hardware required; from the basic computer right up to a highly
sophisticated multi user set ups. We can also provide Point of Sale
hardware and additional peripherals. As with our software we offer our
hardware at truly competitive prices and again unlike our competitors
would do not tie salons into long payment plans for this equipment, we
believe this has a negative effect as by the time the hardware is paid
off it is out of date and in some cases has actually been replaced
before it is even paid off.
Service
Linking with the usability theme, our
experience suggests service is an essential part of providing software,
particularly in the salon industry. Many of our target clients are first
time computer users who require high levels of support and service from
initial installation to training and throughout their ownership
experience.
We provide industry leading levels of
service, providing all our users with comprehensive on and off site
support, continually manned landline phones and even mobile telephone
number support. We also ensure our clients receive regular software
updates which enhance their ownership experience.
